2 Book Contracts 01/10/2012

Yesterday, I mailed off 2 book contracts, one to Night Publishing, residing in England, for Collapsible Horizon, a short story collection, to come out soon, and the other to Make-Do Publishing, in Hong Kong, for different book, to come out in the Fall.

Life 01/10/2012

OK, well, it's been a long time since I posted here. I kept up well with all the magazine announcements, and my own publishing news for almost 2 years. During the last 3 years, I've been in intense pain from a back injury. I reached my pain tolerance recently, and shut down submissions, etc... I'm still catching up on some great accepted pieces, which needs to take longer than it did. I've come to the decision to try to see if there is some way to alleviate the pain and thus try to live rather than fade away, the constant inflammation worsened by working at the computer in the ridiculous positions I have to be in to do so.

Some great pieces have appeared at Exclusive Magazine. Please check them out. I can no longer list them in the blog, for now.

Incredible things have happened with my own work as well.

For a start, some of my stories were nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net by Metazen.

More stories and an interview came out.

The biggest is --  two new book contracts, and world travel.

So, I need to take a break, and work up to being able to do this, while continuing to teach my beloved students with all the passion I have. I need to try to get well, am trying acupuncture.

Watch my Innovation in a Box reading at the &Now Festival of New Writing: Tomorrowland Forever, in San Diego. It's called Godhead: Confessional Booth. It plays with the idea of god, and us all being naughty gods caught in the act at the end, including myself.

Thank you to all who attended my launch on Facebook and made it a special day for me. Anyone wanting to order the book can do so for as little as 2.99 for ebooks, and 9.99 for black and white print. I do have to recommend the 24.99 full color print book.

What does Lucid Fiction say about violence in literature?

My book isn't like others. It's transmedia, and "trance-media" Lucid Fiction audience participation. I'll be doing a virtual book launch all day on Sept. 1 (assuming the book comes in the mail in time and I don't need to postpone.) It's through Facebook, Tantra Bensko. I plan to do a couple live readings through Sclipio that day. I'll just entertain in whatever ways I can, and how you the book, and you can stop by if you like and look just cause you love me, and so want to give my book some love too.
